As Remembrance Sunday is today, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect upon and honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have served our country in times of conflict, as well as those who continue to serve today.
Remembrance Sunday provides a solemn occasion for us to pay tribute to the members of the Armed Forces, past and present, who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and devotion in the service of others. It is also a time to remember the families and communities whose lives have been affected by war and conflict.
I encourage all residents to observe the National Two-Minute Silence at 11:00am and, where possible, to attend local remembrance services and events. Through our collective remembrance, we ensure that the sacrifices made by so many are never forgotten.
On behalf of the local policing team, I would like to thank our community for continuing to uphold the values of respect, unity, and remembrance that this occasion represents.
